Tips from the Trail

Preserving the wild Florida for the next generation of explorers.

A short walk with plenty to see

A small nature trail tucked between water and native Florida vegetation. It is less than half a mile, making it a good option when you want a quick outdoor walk without committing to a longer hike.

Expect a narrow sandy trail

The natural trail is quite narrow in places, with sand, leaf litter and vegetation growing close to the path. Conditions may feel more challenging than the short distance suggests.

Take your time near the water

Otter Lake sits beside Holland Park and Turnbull Creek runs through the surrounding conservation area. Slow down and keep an eye out for birds and other wildlife around the water.

Remember this is a shared park

Holland Park is also home to a disc golf course and connects with a paved multi use trail. Be aware of other park users and watch for disc golfers while exploring the natural trail.
